What is sports betting arbitrage?

Explanation and example

A surebet (sports betting arbitrage) can occur when the sum of inverse decimal odds for all possible outcomes is below 1. In a two-way market, odds of 2.10 and 2.10 yield 1/2.10 + 1/2.10 = 0.95238. Check market rules, limits and price changes: theoretical profit is not guaranteed.
